Frequently Asked Questions

Are there things I can add to a dessert made with Crumble Stuff that will change things up in an interesting way?

Sure! A dessert made with Crumble Stuff and two pounds of fruit is perfect on its own, but everyone feels like a change from time to time. Try adding roughly chopped walnuts to your apple crisp – to the topping, the filling, or both – for an extra bit of crunch and flavor. And if it’s truly autumnal outside, go ahead and toss an extra teaspoonful of cinnamon with the fruit filling for an extra seasonal flavor. For a particularly elegant pear crumble, add toasted almonds to the topping, and if you’re serving your crumble with a scoop of ice cream, sprinkle a few more almonds over that. Use your imagination. There are endless variations!

Is Crumble Stuff organic?

No, but Crumble Stuff is wholesome and all natural. It contains no artificial or man-made colors, flavors or preservatives.

Is making a dessert with Crumble Stuff really “so easy a kid can do it,” like your slogan says?

Yes, but there are kids and there are kids. If your child isn’t old enough to read, he or she will need adult help all the way through – it will really be a team project. If your child is old enough to read and follow the simple instructions, but not old enough to handle a knife or a hot pan, we still recommend adult supervision, and suggest using fruit that doesn’t require cutting – any kind of berries, for example, rather than apples. If your child is 12 or older, he or she can create an awesome dessert with Crumble Stuff and make the whole family proud!

Is a dessert made with Crumble Stuff really “so good it’s gourmet”?

Ultimately, you’ll have to make that decision yourself. But our executive offices are in New York City, home of some of the world’s biggest food snobs as well as some of its most impressive food professionals. We’ve had a few of them vet this product. They loved it.

Are there any fruits Crumble Stuff doesn’t work with?

We don’t think it’s at its best with citrus fruits or bananas.

Any suggestions for holiday crumbles or crisps?

Crumble Stuff lets you create a really special home-made dessert for almost any holiday. Thanksgiving is associated with cranberries, but not everyone loves cranberry sauce. Make a double batch of delicious and beautiful cranberry crumble with Crumble Stuff for dessert and blow your Thanksgiving guests away. And a Crumble Stuff apple crisp can stand in for apple pie winter or summer – serve it warm and crunchy at Christmas, or pack some up and take it on a Labor Day picnic. On the Fourth of July, go red, white and blue with two crumbles – blueberry and strawberry – and vanilla ice cream. Let your imagination be your guide!
